The San Francisco 49ers are waiving kicker Jake Moody after missing two field goals in the season opener, NFL Network reported Tuesday.

Moody, a third-round draft pick in 2023, missed a 27-yard attempt in the second quarter and had a 36-yarder blocked in the third of Sunday's 17-13 win at Seattle.

Moody did convert a game-tying field goal from 32 yards in the fourth quarter and also made both of his extra-point attempts.

In 32 career games, Moody has made 74.2 percent of his field goals (46 of 62) and 97.9 percent of his PATs (94 of 96).

Moody set a Super Bowl record with a 55-yarder against Kansas City in Super Bowl LVIII, only to see Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker break the mark with a 57-yarder later in the game.

San Francisco does not currently have another kicker on the active roster or practice squad. Greg Joseph spent time with the team during training camp.

The 49ers (1-0) visit the New Orleans Saints (0-1) on Sunday.
